 Hola everyone, Its Arlo and today I learnt that last year a golden toilet was stolen.

The toilet was solid gold and was plumbed into the building therfore the palace was flooded.

Stolen by a gang along with a few paintings only a 66 year old man has been arrested.

 Hola everyone I have finally found something worth sharing on wonderopolis.

Its about the "black samurai" the supposedly first samurai that has origin outside of Japan.

Anyway the story is about a traveler from africa that becomes a samurai after bodyguarding Oda Nobunaga.

For once there is a lot of infomation where possible. Not much is known about him so you should check out the article.

Rainbows end

 Hola everyone!

This week I went to Rainbows end as a Thankyou from the school for doing road patrols and stuff.

First we got onto the bus to get to rainbows end(obviously), I stuck around with Rutva and Tamati and also Tamati's dad. He got us some chips and drinks so we sat down for like ten minutes before exploring.

Then we found the dodgems and that was kinda fun I guess. We noticed there was free VR after we met up with Arden. So we shot some robots and a few zombies.

That took up most of the day but we squeezed in the log flume in between.

We went through the gift shop on the way out but we werent allowed to buy anything... Haha can't stop me! I got some spearmint leaf lollies for my friends and I.

a crunch sounded below deck.

What is clickbait?

 Hola everyone, I'm back and have enlarged my big brain a little bit more. While on Wonderpolis I found out how to identifiy clickbait. Incase you live under are rock clickbait is a link or headline that is supposed to get you to read the article. Why is this bad? when you look at a page or website that particular one get a "view" So some small brain decided to create a website where you  click and then leave because its bad and probably has nothing to do with "get a free ice cream". People want "views" so advertisers give them money to show their ads. Whats worse they could spread fake news and misinfomation.

The best way to not get fooled is if it sounds too good to be true then it is.

Athletics

 Hola everyone! I'm back and you didn't miss me.

Anyway we have finished athletics but that was ages ago... but now I need to blog about it great :(

Lovelock track is across the park from owairaka so we all walked there.

Boys started off with doing things like high jump and discus and girls did races then we swapped.

Did I come first in anything? No. Did I do well in anything? Well yes but acually no.

I don't like sport whatsoever... but hey I got a photo

 Hold its me again today I have created a onomatopeia poem about the chug jug 

(the best healing item in fortnite) It took me all out five to seven minutes to finish proof reading and then showing a buddy...

I thoroughly enjoyed making it because of the freedom of creativity.

Kelly sports

 Hola everyone yesterday kauri team went to the field for kelly sports

What happened

we went in rotations to go to activities variing from jumping in hoops to dodgeball...

It took almost half the entire 6 hours that is school time and then there was another few classes doing it so thanks to all the coachs for being there for the whole day. 

My favourite bit?

You want to know my favourite part? of course you don't

The most fun activity was as the end it is called "rob the nest"- if you don't know what rob the nest is i will tell you the basics: there a multiple hoops on the ground which represent your teams "nest" and a big nest in the middle of them all, the each team sends small groups to rob the big nest and after all the cones, bean bags and balls are gone from the big nest everyone from every team steal from each other...

once the time is up whoever has the most objects wins!

I got to make posters about each mood that you are in when you at school (angry) (sad) (happy) (annoyed). I incorparated heaps of references (as I always do) so keep an eye out for those. My favoruite thing about the task was the freedom of what you can put onto your poster.

Water for everyone!!!

 Hola everyone and sorry its been a while since I made a proper post.

I have read four Articles and stories and put it in a slideshow, it was pretty sad how much we have done to harm the planet. It also took a whole week or two to finish. The most interesting thing I learnt was that diseases and bacteria get caught on roofs and grass. (I state my solution in the slideshow)

I jolt upright, darkness surrounds me like a blanket. As the smell of soil floods my nostrils I realise I am underground. How could I, Gerihard the golem end up in a cave? Well even with no brain I am not stupid enough to not use my strong andesite arms to get out of this mess. A low rumbling noise shakes the roof of my dirt prison as I push upwards. lifting myself up and gasping for breath. I study my surroundings. The trees are anew. Up ahead I spot a black path with a new breed of horse all boxy and shiny. Inside the horses are humans! Where am I? When am I?

 My jet had started beeping and a glowing blue image expanded to a 3d holographic message... it was my commander. 

"You should be heading up to the sector 219 in a second".                                                      

"Roger that" I replied.

In the distance I can make out a faint shadow through the mist- a towering labrinth guarded by who knows how many storm troopers. Suddenly a red light flashes and seems to be getting ...bigger? Closer. An ear splitting zap and crunch tells me that the hull has been damaged. I take some deep breaths and whisper to myself not to panic while several more buffeting lasers leave a huge crack in my cockpit window. My ship is tilting downwards. Tugging the control lever as hard as I can isn't helping. The dusty grey ground expands as I am being engulfed with fog. What have I got myself into?

It was a cold night in the desert oasis (the milk stain on the carpet) shorly the king of diamonds couldn't get them here... or could he?

They fell asleep.

all of a sudden they woke up with a bang! The cards had found them... they came for the map to the sword! Ronnie jumped on Bartholomews back and they pounded off towards the cursed canyons (bradleys bed) In between the reveens and and long drops there was a bridge...

But the map pointed strait into a wall which was confusing to the two toys... But the card army were gaining on them with rapid speed- there was no time! Bartholomew against his instincts charged into into the wall of a cliff nearly stumbling with the shock of phasing through the towering canyon... there was a bluish glow coming from round the corner Ronnie the rabbit hopped off bartholomew the bear and tried to heave it out of the rocky ore and with bartholomews help the second time they could pull it from its spot with all its shiny glory.

Just then as Ronnie inspected the blade a heavy load of cards came marching down covering the rocky corridor Spears at the ready- behind them with a matching sword to Ronnies but (glowing red not blue)

The battle had begun! Spears waving at them... bartholomew cleared a path through the guards and gave a stare at the last one as if a old friend with two newish looking cards behind him this made him angry for some reason...

It started raining for some reason... in a cave?

The illusion had stopped all there was is a few toys and a teary eyed Bradley who was sad bis friend did not need him anymore...

Hola everyone, Today I have just finished a poem on Anzac day (yes I know I am late...)
but I got inspiration from ducks at the beach that I saw...
here it is:

On Anzac day we remember,

We remember the people who died,

We remember not to make that mistake again

So we stand in the dawn service with pride

But this year is different…

We are stuck on our drive

Yet I am still reminded …

There were ducks in a formal queue 

Watching parades and fighter- jets too!

Hola, my name is Arlo and this is the second thing I have finished while in lock down. This is a very random story about this picture.

“Ah at last I finished taking photos for my school project” I sighed in relief. A random man overheard me and turned to say something. His mouth opened then closed again without a whisper as if it was illegal to talk. After a moment of awkward silence he asked me “what is your project about?”. Just then as if he was psychic he said “I saw you take a picture of a letter box outside the city square”. Then he took a breath, “there was a classified letter coming out of the box and I spotted you opening it…”. I knew that I should not have been nosy and suddenly without warning an interrupting rumble filled the air and a squad of F.B.I came running into the subway. The man picked me up and threw me onto the train. Holding on for dear life it seemed he either saved me or got me into more trouble…

week 6 writing 1

Hello, my name is Arlo and I have just finished my writing. Here it is:

Ring ring! The pirate in  the crows nest chimed the bell. The dings made me jump and crash into someone and triggered the crew to fall like dominoes. I'm still swabbing the decks until I get a good rank then the captain calls my name “ James Bugginton” (yes that is my name) I turn shivering “get a sword we have got company” as soon as the first letter of sword was spoken my heart leaped and my brain was confused- but I did not challenge his words. Turning around I saw the enemy ship. It was crowded and if we fell into the water we might die of frostbite, I put the thought to the back of my mind as I headed to the armoury. There I chose a sword decorated with seashells and seaweed. I spotted the enemys again as they peeked out from behind an iceberg next to them I swear I saw dolphins, on our ship that is supposed to mean good luck. but now It was time; time to prepare for another invasion; time to seek out new lands; time to conquer.

On March the 5 2020 we were getting ready to go to Howick historical village.
First we went  to the school house there she showed us the cane and we did the learning techniques they used to do.
Next we played with old toys like graces and log walkers.
After that we did stuff to do with communication such as Morse code and braille.
Then we had lunch and a quick tour around the village I made sure we went into the children's museum and that was my favourite part.
Over all I had a great day and would love to go back.

I brang:
1. multi tool- for multiple purposes
2. a safari truck- because it would have a radio, radar and it could get me around
3. camera- to take photos and videos of my discoveries
4. water- I need to drink
5. first aid- in case I get hurt
6. food- I need to eat
7. sunscreen- The sun there will cook me otherwise

Hello everyone I have not been posting, for I have been on holiday but now I'm back and ready to post.
